Bearded Reedling
Panurus biarmicus

The bearded reedling is a small, long-tailed passerine bird found in reed beds near water in the temperate zone of Eurasia. It is frequently known as the bearded tit or occasionally as bearded parrotbill, as historically it was believed to be closely related to either the tits or parrotbills. Today it is known to lack close relatives and it is the only species in the family Panuridae. Source

Movement and weather
Each season it is first heard regularly where daytime highs are around 9°C (typically 6 to 19°C, from 7 areas). That range is wide, so temperature alone does not explain when it turns up.
Over the weeks it was present in the past year, its centre in Europe ranged from 47°N in October to 61°N in December, about 1,600 km apart.
Arrival dates
The week it was first heard regularly in each region, after at least six weeks away. Dates differ from south to north, so a region has a range.
